What tip size should I use?
The SPX20 supports a maximum tip size of 0.021″. For most latex and PVA wall work, a 0.015″ to 0.019″ tip gives a clean, even fan pattern. The machine’s rated spraying pressure is 140 bar at a 0.019″ tip. Stick within these parameters and you will get consistent results. Always refer to your coating manufacturer’s tip recommendation as a starting point.
How far can the hose reach?
The SPX20 supports a maximum hose length of 45 metres. For most residential sites — even larger double-storey homes — this is enough to position the machine once and cover the full site without moving it. Longer hose runs do reduce pressure at the gun slightly, so stay within the 45m limit for best results.
What does the warranty cover?
The SPX20 carries a 6-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal working conditions. Wearing parts are excluded from warranty — this includes the piston rod, v-packing set, filters, and spray tips. How do I clean the SPX20 after use?
Cleaning is straightforward. For latex and PVA coatings, flush the system with clean water until it runs clear. For solvent-based coatings, flush with the appropriate mineral spirits. Clean the filter, rinse the gun, and store. A proper clean after every use is the single best thing you can do to extend the life of the packings and valves.
How does the SPX20 compare to the SP6300?
